Intel 945PM Chipset

120 GB 5400rpm SATA HDD
2 GB DDR2-667 (2x 1GB MB sticks with dual channel support)
Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG + Bluetooth
Intel Pro/1000 Ethernet

I have the same issue with an Acer Tavelmate 8210. It hangs when it tries to probe the device nodes. Does anyone have a suggestion on fixing this issue?

I am having that issue with my Acer Aspire 9500, perhaps this is an Acer thing? Anyway, I too am at a loss on how to get it to not hang at "probing for device nodes", and I really need to be able to get the live CD to boot by Wednesday so I can finish an assignment for my operating systems class, so any help would be nice.
