How to remove device mapper leftovers

I've run a few installations of OpenSolaris on a new test machine I built and then ran a Fedora 8 install session and noticed that the Open Solaris installation created a mapper/sil_ahadcdcdbifh device which appears to be a logical device that combines two of my 4 320Gb drives. Fedora doesn't seem able to remove this remnant of OpenSolaris.

I've run a few different disk tools that allow me to delete the multiple Solaris partitions, and even reconfiged my BIOS for RAID via the Intel ICH9R chipset and created a RAID5 set on all 4 drives, and then installed WS2008 successfully, but nothing seems to remove this device mapper artifact. My susequent efforts with Fedora still show it even after the WS2008 installation.

I'm assuming that this artifact is left over from my dabbling with ZFS, but I'm at a bit of a loss how to remove it. Even the OpenSolaris installer doesn't seem to expose this level of detail (I guess because they made it easy for us newbies).

-Thanks
